The Wonderful World Of Jonathan Winters
Jonathan Winters is a wildly improvisational comic with skits & routines that go from childlike prankishness to satire farce, and from kooky sound effects to straight-faced moralizing, often all within the same bit. His ground breaking vision & style paved the way for everyone from Andy Kaufman & Jim Carey to Robin Williams. This is his 1960 debut LP, The Wonderful World of Jonathan Winters, a collection of zany skits featuring his funniest characters: Elwood P. Suggins; Barley Hopps; Uncle Willard; Maude Frickert and others. Skits are: The Flying Saucer; Western; Football Game; Airline Pilots; Used Pet Shop; Hip Robin Hood; Super Service Station; and Marine Corps. This is an original 1960 pressing on VERVE RECORDS (15009), with the blue & silver label. There is some minor color rubbing to the jacket, but all the seams are intact, and it appears generally in overall Excellent condition. The record labels & playing surfaces appear in overall Very Good condition!
