JOHN FINLEY is the vocalist who fronts guitarists Doug Hastings (ex-Daily Flash, Buffalo Springfield) & Danny Weis (ex-Iron Butterfly); organ / keyboardists Alan Gerber & Michael Fonfara; bassist Peter Hodgson; and drummer Billy Mundi. This group appears on the family tree of The Mothers Of Invention with Frank Zappa; Michael Quatro (brother of Suzi Quatro); and later the commercially successful funk group, Razmataz. On this, their 2nd LP as RHINOCEROS, we hear: Satin Doll (written by Duke Ellington - the only cover song on this LP); Monkee Man; Find My Hand; Top Of The Ladder; Sugar Foot Rag; Don't Come Crying; Chicken; It's The Same Thing; In A Little Room; Funk Butt; and Back Door. This is an original 1969 pressing on ELEKTRA RECORDS (EKS-74056). The record jacket has a cut corner, indicating it was deleted from the Elektra catalog, but is otherwise in near Mint condition. Available as either Still Factory Sealed, or with record labels and playing surfaces in overall beautiful near MINT, or record labels and playing surfaces in overall Excellent condition!
